Dakota TESOL provides support, advocacy, and professional development opportunities for those who work with English as a second language students or English learners. These students may include limited English proficient immigrant and refugee students, migrant students, Hutterite colonies students, and Native American or Alaska Native students who have a heritage language in their background.
Membership in Dakota TESOL is open to the public and consists primarily of ESL/EL professionals in the Dakotas and surrounding states. These teachers may work with students in all settings: K-12, higher education, adult education, literacy tutoring, and more.
Your membership entitles you to our Dakota TESOL newsletter, which is packed with teaching strategies and resources being successfully used in North and South Dakota classrooms.
Your membership dues also help us maintain this website. Feel free to submit articles of interest and check back often for the latest news from the world of ESL/EL.
We hope you’ll take the opportunity to formally join us if you haven’t already. Our membership year runs from October to October, with annual membership dues of just $20 for individuals, $10 for students, and $80 for institutions (up to 5 members). Your support keeps us in business serving teachers and learners alike.
To become a member, please complete the membership form and either pay online or mail a check/cash to Dakota Breen at the address on the form.
